Our parenting style & why we want to adopt…
We will be open and honest with your child from the very beginning regarding their birth story. We feel it’s important to support positive self-identify, so that they can grow into a confident, compassionate, and whole individual. We plan on making a life book for your child, that tells their story with pictures and information about you, and their family history. We want them to be proud of who they are and where they come from.
Your child will know they are loved by you and always will be. We will teach him or her that you entrusted your child to us because of your love for him or her and desire to give him or her the best opportunity in life. Education is very important to us and we will do our very best to give your child every opportunity to pursue their passion and dreams. Sharing our love and growing our family has always been important to us. We have wanted to adopt for many years. We are ready to take this important step in our lives and provide a child with a loving home, a family and security.

What Ray loves about Angie
Angie is a smart, beautiful, nurturing, thoughtful and goes out of her way to put everyone else before herself. She truly is my soulmate, an amazing wife, a trusting confident and companion. We love to be silly and laugh together, but we also are very supportive people and give the best out of each other and have a positive influence on our community, friends, and family. Angie defines what it means to be a good human being, someone who is empathetic, humble, kind, and respectful. She has had a huge impact on my life and has made me better man.
Angie is a very loving and compassionate person who is responsible, reliable, faithful, and trustworthy in approach to life.I cannot imagine a better caring mother, someone who will put a child and family first, provide, teach, and give the best opportunity to live up to their full potential.
Our journey began 18 years ago…
We met during college and we became good friends. Our friendship strengthened into a beautiful relationship. We are truly best friends. In 2007 we turned our beautiful friendship in a lifelong partnership and got married. We have been married for 13 years and have been trying to start our family a few years after we got married, but we have not able to have a child on our own. Growing our family has been important to both of us, and adoption was always something we wanted to do because we don’t feel the need to have a biological connection to a child to devote our lives to a child. We have friends who have adopted, and it has shown us that adoption is a very special and wonderful way to create a family.
An important part of our faith focuses on giving back to our community and helping those in need. organizations.
Community giving is not only an important part of our faith but has also been a part of our upbringing. We enjoy giving back since we have so much. Every year for the last 4 years we host a skating event to raise funds for hunger, shelter, and education for people in marginalized communities. Each year over 100 of our friends and family come out to support us in raising funds and bring awareness to important causes around the world. Giving back to our community is a big part of who we are!
Halloween is one of Angie’s favorite holidays. She loves to dress up and usually spends time with our nieces and taking them out in their neighborhood. Angie usually prepares for Halloween by helping our nieces think of costume ideas. On Halloween day she leaves early from home to make sure she can take them trick or treating in their neighborhood. Although we love to do this with our nieces and nephews, we can’t wait celebrate holidays with a child as his or her Mom and Dad.
We are also big basketball fans and enjoy watching and go to live games to see our favorite team “Toronto Raptors” play. We look forward to bringing a child to live professional basketball games as well as getting to know what he or she likes and being a part of things he or she enjoys.
A little bit about Angie
I love children and spending time with my family and friends. I am one of 4 children in a family of 6. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. My mom (Sabrina) loves to cook and makes our favorite dishes whenever we visit. My dad (Aaron) worked in the hospitality industry for over 45 years and is now retired. He loves to do home projects, and him and I often work on home projects together. Both my parents spend a lot of time with their grandchildren and love having them over. They are excited for us to have a child and to add to the list of grandkids! They always talk about how being grandparents is one of their greatest joys in life. I have my master’s in business administration (MBA) and work in Human Resources. I love to go for walks and enjoy travelling. I also love to shop -- especially for others! I am avid organizer; you can find me rearranging and organizing our home on the weekends. Honesty, trust, and fairness are values that are important to me. I carry these values in all aspects of my life.
I love children and am close with my family and friends. I lost my beloved father in 2018 and while this has been hard to deal with, I always remember the loving memories he left us with. My father loved food, had a great sense of humor, and loved being around family and friends. My mom worked as a Pharmacist for over 40 years and is now retired. She loves gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys facetime them. My mother looks forward to having another grandchild she can spoil.
I have my master’s in business administration (MBA) and certified professional accountant (CPA). I currently have a successful career in finance. I enjoy exercising, golfing, traveling, hanging out with friends & family. I love reading and learning about new things!Honesty, integrity, and loyalty are values that are important to me. I make it a point to lead my life with these values in mind.
We live in a very family friendly, safe, beautiful neighborhood in New York City. We are a 5-minute walk to parks, schools, community centers and pools. Our neighborhood is like a small town in an amazing city. We also own a home with plenty of outdoor space to play.
Here are some pictures of nearby parks and open space.
For thanksgiving we usually go to Texas to have thanksgiving dinner with Ray’s sister, Farah, and her family. She makes a wonderful turkey dinner and invites some of her closest family & friends over for a lovely evening. We indulge in lots of food including delicious sides (mashed potatoes and roasted veggies) and of course dessert! Farah has two kids and the kids love running around and we all have a lot of fun together. Food and family are a big part of our thanksgiving tradition.
During our visit, we also play games with our niece (Amy) and nephew (Alex). We do our best to try and get outdoors to enjoy the warm weather with our niece and nephew in Texas. We have a tradition where we play a few hours of card games with Alex and Amy in the evenings and have plenty of outdoor activities such as outing to the boardwalk, mini putting, bowling and pool time during our visit.
During our spare time we enjoy being active and staying healthy. On the weekends you will find us going out for long walks, enjoying the park, taking hikes, or going for long bike rides along the Hudson river. We cook together and spend our weekends making healthy meals and snacks.
We love children
We have a total of 8 nieces and nephews. They range in age from 4 – 24. They are an integral part of our lives and we love spending as much time with them as possible. We have been fortunate to see them grow up from birth, attending birthday celebrations, graduation ceremonies and celebrating important milestones along the way. We have been active from changing diapers, bathing, feeding them and helping them with their homework. There is nothing we wouldn’t do to help them succeed!
A little bit about Ray
Growing up, my parents (Mary and Nick) had some International jobs so we lived in interesting places growing up. I have two older sisters; one lives in Toronto and one lives in Houston. In 2017, I got a great job opportunity in New York and moved here with my wife.
Fun times with our nieces and nephews
We love spending quality time with our nieces and nephews. We enjoy watching movies, playing games, taking walks, sleep overs, bike rides, baking and more! It’s never a dull moment and we love it! They give us so much love and we are lucky that they think we are still “cool enough” to hang out with. We not only have fun with them, but we also make sure that we are as good role models for them. We want nothing more than to give these precious moments to a child as a Mom and a Dad. We can’t wait to provide so many wonderful opportunities to a child so that we can watch him or her experience the joy this brings to them.

Friends who are family
Living in a city, we were fortunate to be surrounded by diverse ethnicities. Our friends come from all different backgrounds. We have known most of our friends from childhood and they have become family to us.
We enjoy BBQs, vacations, and fun game nights! Many of our friends have kids and often a night out includes hanging out with their kids, playing video games with them when we visit and attending many birthday parties at play centers.
Travels ~ Exploring the world together…
We have travelled to over 30+ cities over the past 14 years. Each year, for our anniversary instead of gifts we celebrate by taking a trip. We can’t wait to be able to help a child explore the world.
Some of the best memories include visiting the Vatican in Italy, seeing the beautiful sunset and architecture in Santorini, Greece and taking a camel ride into the Moroccan desert.
We love exploring the world and are planners when it comes to booking our trips. We often map out fun things to do, sites and book restaurants in advance. While we are on the trip, we change up our schedule as needed with flexibility to move the plan around as we feel like. Ray loves maps and the first thing he does on every trip is to get a map of the city. On top of his love for maps, he has a great sense of direction and for Angie that works out great while on vacation because she is not the best with directions.
Angie loves to scope out local shops and makes an effort to pick up something unique for our nieces and nephews from each trip. During our visit to Greece in 2019 we found a local jeweler and picked up some nice bracelets for our nieces. While vacationing in different cities we also love to visit museums, historical sites, and roaming local streets to get a vibe of the culture and local restaurants.
Christmas is extra special for Ray, as it was his father’s birthday. Every Christmas we go to Toronto have a festive with family and love spoiling our nieces and nephews with gifts.
We typically spend Christmas eve with Angie’s family and then Christmas Day with Ray’s family. Opening presents, enjoying a turkey dinner, and ending the night off with family game night and lots of dessert is usually how it works. Our annual tradition is to bring Christmas crackers, which are festive table decorations that make a snapping sound when pulled open, and often contain a small gift and a joke. No matter how old our nieces and nephews get they still enjoy this part of the night.
Christmas time is the perfect time for us to catch up with family and friends. Our moms love to cook so it’s hard to get in the kitchen to help them out during Christmas, but we all do our part in helping with the side dishes and desserts.
Christmas in New York City is magical and both of us love walking the streets to see the lights and always make a trip to Rockefeller Center to see the big tree! The night before Christmas we have a tradition of baking cookies with our niece and nephews to put out for Santa. All but Adam are too old to believe in this, but they still participate because who doesn’t love cookies!
